Utah Funding Sources

We work with a multitude of different funding sources in the state of Utah and we're happy share some of those organizations and options with you.

These funding sources want families to remain safe and independent in their homes, so they will do what they can to help you make your home accessible by removing barriers.

Medicaid Waiver Programs for Utah Residents

These organizations offer a range of resources and may or may not have resources specifically related to home modifications.

Ability 1st Utah

Since 2001, Ability 1st has been assisting individuals of all ages with disabilities to help them achieve their goal of remaining independent at home and active in their local communities. They strive to help individuals replace limitations with opportunities for creating independent lifestyles.

Active RE-Entry

Active Re-Entry is a community-based program that works to assist individuals with disabilities maintain a productive live and remain independent at home and within their local communities. They offer a range of services and resources for UT residents.

Independent Living Center (UILC)

Established in 1981, UILC was the first independent living center in UT. It provides services to help disabled individuals enhance their independence in their homes, families, and communities. UILC is consumer controlled as a majority of their team members are people with disabilities.

Options for Independence

Options for Independence was initially founded in 1981 and became a private, nonprofit corporation in 1983. It was founded on the belief that all people matter and people with disabilities should have the same rights and opportunities as everyone else in their community.

Roads to Independence

Roads to Independence is a disability service center that provides a variety of services for all ages of people with disabilities. Their goal is to work with individuals to help them develop a independent living plan to their unique needs

RRCI

RRCI, formally known as Red Rock Center for Independence, serves disabled individuals of all ages. They provide a wide variety of services at no cost.

Other UT Funding Sources

Ability Found

Ability Found is a nonprofit organization providing people with disabilities equipment needed to help their independence, productivity, safety, opportunity, and dignity. The equipment is donated, but the individual is responsible for any installation costs.

Division of Services for People with Disabilities (DSPD)

DSPD helps disabled individuals lead independent and self-determined lives by providing support and community based services throughout the state of UT. If approved for services needed, DSPD will provide full funding.
